Yin Yoga benefits the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, ligaments, tendons, joints, and bones. The practice improves joint flexibility and blood circulation while helping to calm the parasympathetic nervous system (our rest-and-digest response).
Holding postures allows us to observe the body’s sensations and create a profound connection with the inner workings of the body. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow, supports emotional equilibrium and prepares the body and mind for breath work and meditation.
All levels welcome.
